BIOSKETCH CURRICULUM VITAE My name is Bolanle Olufunlola ADEFUYE Nee OLUNUGA, I was born on the 13th of July 1962 on a Friday, in Atan maternity centre near my village (Imuku) in Ijebu North East Local Government Area of Ogun State. I commenced my education at Local Authority Primary School, Ago Alaiye,Araromi Rubber Estate,Ondo State in 1968 till 1972. I had secondary school education at Peoples Girls Grammar School, Molete, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria from January 1973 to June 1977. Higher Secondary School education was at Federal Government Girls College Oyo, Oyo State from 1977 to 1979. Also, by October 1979 , I attended Adeola Odutola College between October 1979 and June 1980. I was admitted into the University of Ibadan to study the Noble Profession of Medicine between October 1980 and August 1986. I graduated with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS Ib). My Housemanship was at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu, Ogun State between September 1986 and August 1987 and National Youth service was done as Medical Officer of Health at State Health Office, Jericho, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, between September 1987and August 1988. I got Married to Dr Peter Oladipupo ADEFUYE on the 17th 0f December 1988, hence changed my surname from OLUNUGA to ADEFUYE. I commenced the Residency training program of the Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital from 1989 to 1992. Due to lack of accreditation as at that time in OOUTH for the Postgraduate Medical training of the West African College of Physicians of the West Africa Postgraduate Medical College, I proceeded to University College Hospital, Ibadan from 1992 to 1995. I Came back to OOUTH as a Senior Registrar. I was awarded, Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians in the Faculty of Internal Medicine (FWACP) in April 1999. My academic career commenced with the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-lwoye, Ogun State in October 2000 as lecturer 1 in the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Clinical Sciences of the Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences of the University. I obtained Masters of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, University of Ibadan, April 2010. Due to my relevance in the practice of Pulmonology, I was awarded a honorary Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians in October 2009. Apart from being Internal Medicine (Respiratory Sub-Specialty) lecturer at Olabisi Onabanjo University since Oct 2000, I have been Examiner of West African Post-Graduate Medical College since 2016 to date. Also Member of Accreditation Team, West African Post-Graduate Medical College. 2019 to date. In addition, I have been External examiner to LASUCOM, Lagos since 2020. In the course of my academic career I was one of the World Researchers of Global Initiative for Meticillin resistant staphylococcus Pneumonia(GLIMP) Study Group. I attended the three levels annual Pan African Thoracic Society Methods in Epidemiologic, Clinical and Operational Research (PATS-MECOR) training from 2007 to 2009 and the global training in 2012.
